THE FOUNTAIN COMPANY

The Geneva Cafe and Delicatessen

Supports many local artists and artisans, purely because they like local people to do well. The Geneva stock some really excellent foodstuffs and you will always be assured of a warm welcome there whether you call in for just a coffee, lunch, or to buy some of their excellent hams cheeses or pates.

Groveland Garden Centre

Jonathan and Anthea Simpson are extremely talented and hard working and it shows in the quality of plants sold at the centre and the overall layout and design of their gardens.

They have one of my bamboo fountains on display in their shade house and Jonathan has already given me lots of design tips which I have incorporated into my fountains.

The Garden House (Cromer)

When you enter the little shop in Cromer it just oozes good taste from the general decorations to the floor covering to the eclectic mix of objects paintings and sculptures mostly produced by local people in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The shop has a number of rooms and each one is different but all are interesting. My only regret is that when I visit it is always on business and I am in and out in about half an hour. I would like to spend at least a couple of hours in each room. The Garden House stocks my snowflower, weeping and sail fountains.

Open Waters

Rachel and Alison Fawkes have a thriving business selling pond plants. They have four garden ponds and propagate and pot on all their plants for sale. They are both very knowledgeable about the likes and dislikes of most of our common and many not so common plants and because they don't force their plants you can be confident that whatever you buy from Open Waters will grow away well.

Emily and Isobel

Emily and Isobel are two young artists who can't stop painting. They saw my fountains at Audley End and spent about an hour painting them. I think you will agree that they are very talented .

KFD Jewellery (last but by no means least)

Karen Faulkener-Dunkley is a very talented jewellery maker working mainly but not exclusively in silver.

Karen and her husband Bruce gave me lots of encouragement at my first craft fair last year and Karen even took time out to show me how to make an arum lily flower. Karen's arum lily and leaf rings, torques, bracelets and earrings simply ooze quality and style and are quite timeless in their design.
